“Let’s Play in the Name of Art” is Wang Xin’s first realization among a series of unfulfilled project plans she has come up with during the years out of interest for the truth and essence of art. In this project, Wang builds up an amusement park using ocean balls, veils, light rays, toys and a trampoline. At the same time the artist asked nearly 40 art-related people in M50, including artists and their assistants as well as staff from galleries and art media, for their phone numbers. Thus in the playful space Wang created, you can call and invite people who you are interested in to have a little chat or maybe some games – in the name of the art, of course.
The broken mirror is rushing at you like a clumsy elephant. Invite a player to come and begin the ‘free play’. At the same time the seeds of playground will be budding in the deepest place. Happy play will be like sunshine. However only the fearless one can apperceive the existence spited from feeling and rationality. Seeing others as if seeing your self. When you walk in between, the playground door has opened to you.
